Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance cooking techniques and knowledge of food safety practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety protocols is essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing kitchen demands.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.55-$26.60 per hour

Expected hours: 17.20 – 18.00 per week

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Food Handler Certification (preferred)
• Driving Licence (preferred)
