An opportunity has arisen for a part-time cook/kitchen hand to join the Kitchen team at Ashburn Clinic. The successful applicant will work rostered hours (minimum 24 hours per week including weekends) and be able to cover for other kitchen staff on annual leave, sick leave (often at short notice), and school holidays, as required.

About the role:
Our kitchen staff produce healthy food on-site to meet the needs of patients, staff and visitors, including special diets. The kitchen service operates under a Custom Food Control Programme (MPI certified). This position includes cooking and food production, as well as general kitchen hand duties such as cleaning and dishes.

About you:
- You must be able to work confidentially and have experience within a commercial catering environment.
- NZQA Food Safety Certificate is the minimum requirement, diploma in professional cookery and/or hospitality are preferred.
- The ability to work unsupervised is essential.
- You must be vaccinated against COVID-19 as we are a registered health and disability service.
