What you'll do
UniSQ is seeking an innovative and collaborative Lecturer who is passionate about excellence in teaching, curriculum design and pedagogical practice. Dedicated to advancing the field of Special Education, you will contribute to high-quality teaching, impactful research, and meaningful engagement across our Initial Teacher Education and Master of Education programs. This role offers the opportunity to inspire future educators across diverse learning contexts - including regional, rural, and remote settings - while contributing to locally grounded, globally relevant research and curriculum design that supports transformational educational outcomes.
As a Lecturer (Curriculum and Pedagogy - Special Education) you will:
- Deliver engaging and reflective student-centred teaching methods across face-to-face and blended modes leveraging digital technologies
- Conduct research activities that produce high-quality outputs and generate research income.
- Support the development of research teams and mentor HDR students.
- Contribute to a positive workplace and culture through internal service while also making significant external contributions to the community and profession.
- Actively engage in professional development activities and maintain currency in contemporary learning, teaching, and research approaches.
What will help you succeed
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- It is essential that you hold a doctoral or equivalent accreditation in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrate a strong background in teaching and research in the field of Special Education Curriculum and Pedagogy.
- Proven experience in delivering engaged and reflective approaches to higher education teaching.
- Showcase your ability to engage in research, collaborate with others, attract funding, and advance knowledge in the field.
