Licensed Structural Engineer (Remote)

Location: Remote
Salary: Negotiable, expected to exceed $120,000 + benefits

Position Overview:
We are looking for a USA-based licensed professional engineer, to join our team. This is a remote work role with long-term career growth opportunities including a leadership role in the engineering department. As a Professional Engineer at Anatomic, you will lead delegated steel connection design, stair and rail engineering, and related structural engineering services in coordination with our detailing and project management teams. An active engineering license in multiple US states is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete and stamp delegated connection design for projects under detailing by our team
  • Prepare and stamp stair and handrail engineering for required delegated projects
  • Work with our detailing team on resolving design issues on projects in accordance with industry standards to streamline the creation of RFIs
  • Communicate with the design team on Anatomic’s detailing projects to accelerate approvals and the issuance of for fabrication shop and erection drawings.
  • Collaborate with Anatomic staff on all aspects of connections and engineering to deliver a successful project
  • Provide value engineering services for clients on steel connection and erection methods
  • Provide training and technical guidance to senior Anatomic staff in connection design software such as Mathcad, IDEA Statica, and RAM connection
  • Lead the engineering team as it grows with the addition of new staff to expand capacity

Qualifications:

  • 8 years minimum experience working as a licensed engineer
  • Licensed in a minimum of one US state – preference for Colorado, Montana and Texas – preference will be given to applicants holding active licenses in multiple US states
  • Ability to prepare and deliver connection design and stair design in accordance with US requirements
  • Solid understanding of the structural steel industry (steel detailing experience is a significant asset).
  • Strong experience with connection design software including Mathcad, IDEA StatiCa, and RAM Connection
  • Working knowledge of Tekla Structures & Revit is preferred
  • Capability to use and collaborate in Adobe & Bluebeam
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • University degree in Engineering
  • Well-organized with strong time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
