The Role:
We are seeking a Line Designer to join our Network Overhead Design team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role you
will be responsible for completing line design, reconfiguring customer connections at the point of rebuild, cost estimation,
customer liaison, shared on-property lines and private transformer poles, and when necessary, private line work. On-the-
job and industry training will be provided to extend the skills of the successful candidate.
Got what it takes?
- Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Mechanical, or NZ Diploma or Certificate of Engineering in Civil or
Mechanical Engineering, or tertiary qualification in Physics and/ or Mathematics OR
- New Zealand Electrical Qualification of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
- An understanding of New Zealand’s electricity distribution industry.
- Flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing requirements.
- Ability to deal with people from all levels within the business as well as customers and landowners.
- Cost estimation skills.
- Ability to produce, read and interpret plans, drawings and diagrams, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Relevant computing and software skills.
- Full New Zealand Class 1 Drivers Licence.
