Linen Porter

Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a reliable and motivated Linen Porter to join our culinary team at our vibrant four-star property, located in the heart of the city.

This is a part time & full time position.

As Linen Porter you will report into the Accommodation Manager and Supervisors. You will work closely with the rest of the Accommodation Department and Front Office.

You will be responsible for;

• To respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Ensure carts are filled with correct supplies and transport carts to assigned areas
• Take in and count linen delivery
• Take in other deliveries and stock them in correct presses
• Conduct a linen count for the next day order
• Return carts to storage area and ensure these are restored
• Collect dirty linen and rubbish from corridors
• Wash carpe-ts and voiles if necessary
• To collect and deliver guest laundry requests
• Keep linen storage clean and free of rubbish

• To load and unload linen cages
• To hoover and maintain corridors
• To support the overall cleanliness of the hotel (Front and Back of House)
• To deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner and to notify management of these

Requirements for the role:

• Previous experienceas a linen porter or within a cleaning role is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.

• You must be able to lift heavy loads (Manual handling training will be provided on your first day of employment).

• A strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Reliability, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude.
