Positioning
- You are part of the Euroclear Bank Compliance & Ethics team (“C&E”);
- You have a reporting line to the EB Branch Manager;
- You are a non-voting attendee of the Local Management Team;
- You have a functional reporting line to the Euroclear Bank Chief Compliance Officer (“EB CCO”) or to his delegate;
- You are in charge of the relationship with the local regulators of the Branch.
Summary
- Overall accountable for the Compliance & Ethics function of the Branch;
- Define the Compliance and Ethics strategy for the Branch and ensure an appropriate framework is in place;
- Accountable for the implementation of an adequate:
- monitoring of compliance of the Branch with legal and regulatory rules; and
- Compliance and Ethics process which gives comfort to the Local Management Team and EB CCO that compliance and ethics risks are adequately managed.
- Build and maintain relationships with the Branch regulators and peers in the industry to monitor market developments;
- Ensure an effective Legal and Regulatory Watch process is in place with respect to the Branch to identify new and amended compliance & ethics risks;
- Support and advise the 1st line of defense and the Local Management Team on Compliance and Ethics matters;
- Build a risk-based multi-year plan for the Branch that covers all business activities
- Ensure delivery of the 2nd line of defense risk assessments and testing in line with the annual plan;
- Report quarterly on the plan to the Local Management Team and EB CCO.
Technical Skills
- You have at least 10 years of working in the Financial Services Sector;
- You have 5 years experience of working in a compliance function, or similar;
- You are fluent in English and Swedish.

- You are proactive and capable of operating autonomously whilst leveraging available support and tools;
- You have an independent mindset, are assertive and can manage challenging internal and external stakeholders;
- You are disciplined and have strong organization skills;
- You can quickly build relationships with stakeholders;
- You communicate with enthusiasm and passion.
