Logistics & Trade Support Co-Ordinator

The Role
You will be focused on executing deliveries against contracted sales of commodities such as grains, co-products, protein meals and feed additives directly to customers. Additionally, you will assist with contract entry and sales from time to time.

The key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Collaborating with the Ridley Merchandising Team, Logistics Managers and Sales Managers to plan execution tasks.
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight providers and customers.
  • Work with customers on demand planning and ordering requirements to develop delivery schedules.
  • Manage allocated commodity positions to delivery execution.
  • Create movement orders (Ridley Transport Loads).
  • Obtain weights where required and reconcile deliveries against sales/purchase orders.
  • Monitor the execution of contracts.
  • Assist in reviewing freight allocations in order to assess further optimisation.
  • Contract administration in line with the freight administration and trade tasks.
  • Provide weekly schedule to freight providers.
  • Assist in sales contract entry and negotiate pricing with customers as required.
The key skills and experience required for this role include:
  • Solid verbal, negotiation and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • A good understanding of business and logistics processes.
  • A knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and Legislation.
  • Proficiency in computing skills.
  • Able to work in Office and Microsoft Dynamics programs.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Ability to double check and query inconsistencies.
  • Capacity to identify and address inconsistencies through thorough checks.
  • Methodical, process driven approach with strong planning capabilities.
  • Prior experience in the grain/agriculture industry is highly desirable.
