We are seeking a proactive and skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of complex machinery and equipment across our production lines. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, improve efficiency, and uphold safety standards. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to extend equipment lifespan and prevent unexpected failures.
- Calibrate precision measuring instruments and use tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to assess electrical systems.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, HVAC/R units, and welding equipment, including <LOCATION> welding techniques where applicable.
- Operate field service tools such as scissor lifts and forklifts safely to access high or hard-to-reach machinery.
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules that minimize impact on manufacturing operations.
- Document all maintenance activities thoroughly in CMMS for tracking and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), and HVAC/R systems.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, industrial electrician practices, and analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
- Experience with industrial mechanic tasks such as welding (<LOCATION> welding preferred), calibration of precision instruments, and use of maintenance tools like ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Ability to read technical schematics and operate CMMS software efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to high voltage, electrical work, and field service operations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English across diverse teams.
- Additional assets include military experience, field service background, HVAC certification, or experience with industrial maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
