Shift: Must be available for rotating shifts, overtime, and weekend on-call work

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our chemical processing facility. This hands-on role is responsible for performing reactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance across a variety of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. This position has no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, compressors, heat exchangers, and chemical handling systems
• Replace and maintain electrical components (fuses, breakers, soft starts, VFDs, etc.)
• Install and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanically operated valves
• Install and service electronic and mechanical instrumentation
• Cut, thread, and fit piping systems
• Perform welding, plumbing, and basic pipefitting as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and P&IDs
• Perform motor wiring and basic electrical installations (up to 480V)
• Operate tools including hand, pneumatic, electric tools, and welding equipment
• Safely operate forklifts, man-lifts, and mobile equipment
• Use CMMS for maintenance tracking and documentation
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete safety training and incident reports as required
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education & Training (Preferred):

• Associate degree or technical diploma in industrial maintenance or related field

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, valves, and instrumentation
• Basic understanding of PLC systems and plant automation
• Experience with electrical systems, including power distribution and control circuitry
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems

Work Environment:

• Requires working rotating shifts and being available for weekend or emergency call-ins
• Must be able to lift, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks safely

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.94 - $26.64 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
