Maintenance Technician

Job description:

Join the Leadbetter Team! We are currently recruiting for a Day Shift Maintenance Technician!

This candidate will work with our maintenance department to maintain the building, its structures and all the machinery / equipment to facilitate the day to day running of operations. Carry out all work in compliance with the Food Safety and Quality programs.

• The payrate will vary with experience.
• Shift time will be 8:00am-4:30pm (End time can vary).

We are not accepting out of Province or Country applicants currently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out repairs and regular maintenance as specified in the PMPs.
• Work in accordance with the Safety Procedures in which training has been provided, including lock out / tag out procedures.
• Record work completed on the designated records and hand in to Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Coordinator
• Perform regular inspections of the Plant and document any areas for improvement / deviations and follow up on corrective actions.
• Make sure equipment is assembled and disassembled correctly as required and that the High Risk. checks are carried out and documented as per the written program
• Carry out repairs / maintenance on equipment as required, and ensure all work is done in a timely manner to facilitate production and minimize downtime.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with the procedures provided and ensure GMPs are followed.
• Perform other duties in the Plant as required.

Education, Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum 4-5 years relevant work experience in the food industry is desirable but not essential as extensive training is provided.
• Good knowledge of mechanics / Equipment / Machinery
• Knowledge of GMPs and working to food safety standards is an advantage.
• Highly motivated with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, team oriented and able to work independently.
• Adaptable and flexible
• Reliable

• Orillia, ON L3V 2M2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 4-5 year (preferred)
