Downer Group is a leading infrastructure and transport services company supporting rail operations and rollingstock maintenance across Australia.

We are looking for skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Technicians to help maintain and repair passenger trains and rollingstock systems to ensure safe and reliable rail operations.

What You’ll Do?

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on trains and rollingstock
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Conduct inspections and safety checks before trains enter service
• Read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
• Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment
• Complete maintenance reports and service documentation
• Support testing and commissioning activities when required
• Follow strict rail safety and workplace safety procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification (AQF Level 3 or equivalent)
• Experience in rail, heavy industry, aviation, defence, or plant maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Basic computer and diagnostic software skills
• Good teamwork and communication abilities
• Commitment to workplace safety and Zero Harm culture

Pay: From $8,000.00 per month
