Job Description:
This hourly position involves providing essential maintenance and carpentry services within our plant. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting various construction and repair tasks to maintain the operational excellence and aesthetic integrity of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning and Execution:
- Receive work orders, including blueprints and operational directives.
- Review project requirements and gather necessary tools and materials.
- Prepare and set up for complex carpentry tasks.
Carpentry and Repair:
- Perform detailed carpentry work, including framing, installing, and repairing fixtures and structural elements.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Ensure all carpentry work adheres to safety and quality standards.
Facility Maintenance:
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance to ensure facility systems operate efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with building systems and components.
Project Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports and provide insights on completed projects.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in carpentry or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in carpentry or house remodeling
Skills:
- Expertise in carpentry, including a solid understanding of construction and remodeling techniques.
- Proficient in using a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Training Requirements:
- Core training in company policies and safety standards.
- WHMIS certification.
- Comprehensive on-the-job training tailored to the specific requirements of the role.
