Maintenance Technician Iii (Industrial / Warehouse Facilities)

About the Role

PLA Supply Chain Services is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician III to support equipment repair, facility maintenance, and preventive maintenance inside our industrial warehouse environment that handles wooden pallets.

This role works with heavy machinery, pallet-processing equipment, forklifts, compressors, conveyors, and facility systems. Candidates with experience as a Facility Repair Technician, Machinery Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or Equipment Maintenance Technician are strongly encouraged to apply.

This is a day shift role with a high volume of overtime opportunities and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment and Machinery Maintenance

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMETCO and Palamatic systems, pallet repair machinery, forklifts, yard trucks, compressors, motors, HVAC, lighting, and facility infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures
  • Install, relocate, or remove machinery and production equipment
  • Perform structural, dock, and general building repairs

Warehouse and Facility Support

  • Work in a busy pallet-processing warehouse handling wooden pallets
  • Support daily operational maintenance needs
  • Ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and with minimal downtime
  • Provide support during overtime and on-call situations as needed

Safety, Compliance, and Documentation

  • Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, forklift certification records, and repair documentation
  • Ensure forklift operators remain certified and compliant
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety/environmental standards

Inventory, Vendors, and Technical Support

  • Maintain spare parts and supply inventory
  • Coordinate vendor repairs, contractor support, and warranty services
  • Provide guidance to less experienced maintenance personnel

What You Need

  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial or mechanical maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical)
  • Experience in pallet, warehouse, or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Welding and electrical certifications required
  • Familiarity with PLCs and maintenance documentation
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, or noisy warehouse conditions
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work safely at heights and around active machinery
  • Availability for overtime and on-call as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing
  • Work in non-climate-controlled areas
  • Work around wooden pallets, dust, debris, forklifts, and heavy equipment

Work Environment

  • Industrial warehouse and pallet-processing facility
  • Forklifts, conveyors, machinery, and high-volume production operations
  • PPE required
  • Significant overtime and on-call responsibilities as needed
