Bodega Coffee is seeking an experienced manager to join the team at our speciality coffee kiosk in the Georges Street Arcade. We have ambitious plans for growth so we're looking for someone who is inspired and energized by a challenge, and who can contribute to the development and growth of our speciality coffee experience.
Based on Drury Street, we are an intimate yet busy location. We focus on creating a personable experience for our customers and place an emphasis on serving consistently excellent speciality coffee. This is all underpinned by our strong knowledge of coffee, our brilliant baristas, our attention to detail, and making use of the best equipment available in the industry.
Specific experience in (speciality) coffee is required, as well as at least 2 years of experience in a cafe management role. A full driving license is also an advantage.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the coffee kiosk
- Supervise, direct, counsel and assist all baristas, including recruitment, training and continuing education, discipline and commendation
- Management of front of house: customer service, preparation and presentation of beverages and information, operational procedures, merchandising
- Greet all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service and develops a rapport with our customers by learning their names, favourite drinks and food items
- Maintain efficient, friendly service standards and demonstrate such standards when training other team members
- Improve systems and processes within the coffee kiosk.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Proactively train staff to maintain and uphold all company and café policies
- Develop a training program for all baristas and execute these training sessions to the highest of standards
- Actively work towards creating a personable café experience through customer service, beverage preparation and presentation, in-store marketing, and upkeep of the physical space
- Handle customer complaints with professionalism and tact.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Love and knowledge of coffee
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Ability to keep a calm, mature, professional demeanour when needed
- A high degree of ethics and obsession with customer service
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with an ability to self-direct when necessary
- High level of organization and detail orientated
- At least 2 years of experience in speciality coffee and the coffee industry
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From €17.00 per hour
