Responsible for providing regional finance oversight and performance management support for Singtel’s investment in the STT Global Data Centres (STT GDC) portfolio, safeguarding Singtel’s financial interests and supporting the portfolio’s contribution to the Group’s performance.
- Support the development and execution of financial and performance strategies for STT GDC, including intelligence gathering on financial, operational, market, and regulatory developments.
- Monitor and analyse the business and financial performance of STT GDC and raise timely risks, issues, and observations, including:
- Financial Reporting – Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including preparation of management reports, analysis of financial performance, trends, and outlook.
- Performance Analysis – Monitoring financial and operational KPIs, progress against targets, and analysis against relevant benchmarks or industry comparables.
- Support engagement with key stakeholders of STT GDC, including key influencers, potential & existing business partners, auditors, regulators, and internal Singtel stakeholders, to facilitate effective financial oversight and information flow.
- Support the operational requirements of STT GDC, including preparation of briefing materials and administrative and logistical coordination for Board and Board sub-committee meetings (e.g. Audit Committee).
- Review business proposals, forecasts, and budgets submitted by GDC entities, support discussions with local teams, and assist in determining appropriate financial and performance KPIs prior to escalation to senior management.
- Provide support on key financial and strategic matters, including proposed investments, expansion initiatives, and other strategic projects at both entity and portfolio levels.
- Design, review, and maintain financial models, and support due diligence, business reviews, and asset impairment assessments as required
- Review, analyse, and maintain a strong understanding of industry, market, and regulatory trends relevant to data centre and infrastructure businesses to support informed financial and strategic decision-making.
- Support regional and portfolio-level initiatives, and work with Capital Management, Treasury, Tax, and other corporate functions to assess financial implications of potential investments, funding structures, and capital initiatives.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline
- 6 to 8 years’ relevant experience in regional finance, FP&A, or financial performance management roles
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting
- Financial analysis, modelling, and business valuation skills
- Budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
- Understanding of the regulatory environment and policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear and structured communication skills, with the ability to build good rapport and collaborative working relationships with all levels of staff.
- Ability to work independently and play a hands-on role and exercise flexibility in a challenging and fast-paced environment
