Job Summary
The regional Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leadership of all supply chain activities within the country, develop and manage the supply chain budget for cost-effective operations, and promote the global supply chain strategy across the region and offshore installations. Ensure regional compliance and manage sourcing activities, ensure compliance during rig transfers between countries, identify and mitigate supply chain risks, and handle internal and external audits related to vendor management. Manage regional procurement activities, support regional business decisions like make/rent/buy and insource/outsource, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors for timely, quality deliveries. Oversee material management and warehousing to minimize excess inventory, work with inventory managers to control and manage inventory, maintain local yard inventory to standards, and manage materials and equipment movement to/from offshore facilities. Share best practices and drive global supply chain improvements, provide support to Offshore Material Coordinators, and ensure global supply chain policies are implemented and complied. Analyze spending and propose cost-saving initiatives.
Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Leadership and management of the regional Supply Chain Organization by collaborating with all functions with supply chain (logistics, compliance, purchasing, materials management, systems development, etc.) and other functions (operations & asset management) to progress supply chain improvement recommendations. Promoting the supply Chain Strategies across the regions and installations. .
- Work to optimize the warehouses and Yards by improving both our quality standards and cost of operation.
- Coordinate all logistics and freight shipments, ensuring the fastest and safest methods with cost effective results. Follow up urgent shipments and notify the concerned parties of any changes securing timely deliveries of goods and services.
- Maintain compliance to policies and regulation such as: Local law and regulations, document retention, SOX, customs, immigration and LCE.
- Analize spends and propose cost saving initiatives by evaluating various cost saving strategies such as eliminate unnecessary spend, renegotiate, investigate market alternatives and make or buy/rent or own. Mitigate risk and evaluate business proposals prior to commitments made.
- Maintain our standards of safety at our shore yard facilities.
- Manage regional procurement activities. Maintain relationship with vendors for effective business relationship and secure timely deliveries.
- Share best practices and drive global supply chain improvements.
- Provide functional support to Offshore Materials Coordinator.
- Provide monthly supply chain performance information to operations.
- Escalate issues and recommendations within supply chain in a prompt manner.
- Monitor regional vendor performance and address concerns when required.
Education:
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Level: Master's Degree
Experience:
- Minimum Required: 5+ years of related experience
- Preferred Level: 10+ years of related experience
