This role will be handling tax advisory and operational compliance and reporting for all EDPR APAC geographies (except Vietnam and China).


Responsibilities

  • Provide expert tax advice on corporate structures, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and project financing specific to the renewable energy sector in APAC.
  • Advise on tax-efficient strategies related to international tax planning, cross-border transactions, and transfer pricing policies.
  • Collaborate with wider finance team and business units to define and implement transfer pricing strategies, tax compliance and tax reporting controls.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews and analysis of tax incentives, credits, and subsidies available in the renewable energy sector across APAC countries.
  • Oversee the implementation of transfer pricing policies and documentation in line with local regulations and global standards.
  • Provide guidance on intercompany pricing arrangements and ensure compliance with applicable transfer pricing rules.
  • Identify and assess tax risks, providing proactive solutions to mitigate potential tax exposures.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any tax audits, disputes, or inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s tax governance framework and internal control processes.
  • Manage and oversee the preparation and timely filing of tax returns (corporate income tax, GST, withholding taxes, transfer pricing, etc.) across the APAC region, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely compliance with all corporate tax obligations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
  • Monitor tax legislation and regulatory changes within the APAC region to ensure compliance and minimize tax risks.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields (specialization in taxation is a plus)
  • At least 6 years of relevant working experience, preferably with 2 to 3 years of Big 4 experience and high-growth, MNC or listed companies
  • Good knowledge with APAC and SG tax
  • Hands on, driven and collaborative, and high work ownership
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines for multiple concurrent projects across APAC
  • Self-starter, strong multi-tasking, and project management capabilities
  • Good team management skills
  • Able to translate technical tax issues into practical business solutions
  • Excellent communicator who can influence, engage, and build strong relationships & trust at all levels
