Internship Overview:
This internship with the Market Transformation Team offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives in (1) responsible sourcing to prevent deforestation and conversion and protect ecosystems, and the (2) circularity economy, which includes work around single-use packaging reduction and traceability. Projects that you could be working on include developing an implementation plan for a major hospitality player to prevent deforestation, designing a reusable F&B container system in the central business district area, researching, and coordinating meetings.
As an intern, you will engage in diverse project tasks, including conducting data analysis, ground research, interviews, assisting in report writing, and actively participating in market research on sustainability topics. Beyond this, you will be crucial in stakeholder engagement and outreach activities with the rest of the Market Transformation Team. You will contribute to proposal research and gain valuable experience crafting compelling pitch decks.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting Responsible Sourcing and Circularity Initiatives:
- Conduct data analysis, ground research, and interviews to contribute to ongoing projects. This includes gathering information from internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in report writing and documentation of findings.
Market Research and Sustainability Analysis:
- Research market trends and sustainability topics.
- Analyze sustainability goals and policies of the private and public sectors and their respective implementation plans.
Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach:
- Support mapping and outreach to relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with event spaces, arrange logistics and create outreach collaterals for stakeholder engagement events and initiatives.
- Support the team at green talks and workshops. This includes taking ownership of some components of the talks and workshops by creating content and presenting them to stakeholders.
Proposal Research and Pitch Deck Creation:
- Collaborate with team members on research for proposals.
- Contribute to the creation of pitch decks for presentations to stakeholders.
General Organizational Support:
- Ensure documents are organized and readily accessible.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
Selection Criteria:
Educational Background:
- Current enrollment in or graduated from a relevant field such as Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Business, Supply Chains, Communications, or related disciplines. Demonstrated interest in business and consumer sustainability will be preferred.
- Knowledge of business supply chains and circular economy or waste reduction will be an asset.
Analytical and Presentation Skills:
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.
- Ability to interpret and synthesize information from various sources.
- An eye for detail and design will be appreciated.
Adaptability and Communication Skills:
- Ability to think on your feet and navigate challenges creatively, despite not knowing all the details or answers.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex concepts and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability in conducting thorough research, which need not be academic research.
- Must be proficient in English. Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
Event Coordination and Outreach:
- Experience or interest in organizing events, coordinating logistics, and creating outreach materials.
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
Proactive and Team Player:
- Proven ability to take initiative and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to contribute effectively to multiple projects.
