Marketing Intern

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at National Beauty Distribution for a Marketing Intern on a full-time basis.

National Beauty Distribution, based in Cork, is one of Ireland’s leading brand management and distribution companies in the hair and beauty industry and is the sole distributor for many high-profile global brands. The business is split over 3 channels - Hair, Retail, and Beauty, focused on establishing an in-depth understanding of the products we source and ensuring a strong route to market and market positioning of those brands. We currently represent 20+ brands in the Irish market. These brands include major names in the hair and beauty industry including LUNA by Lisa

Jordan and Bare by Vogue Williams.

Our Marketing Team is looking for a Marketing Intern to join their team on a permanent basis.

Role Purpose:

As a Marketing Intern, you will support the Marketing Manager in the execution of the marketing and communication plans across our divisions.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Responsibility for the delivery of our retail brand strategy, ensuring our POS and Merchandising offering is best in class and appealing to customers

• Develop engaging campaigns that drives brand awareness and influences brand perception.

• Act as the point of contact for trade marketing support for customers, in-store events, and running localised promotions.

• Conduct market research, analyzing marketing surveys to improve the marketing strategy.

• Handle administrative tasks to ensure the marketing department’s activities run smoothly.

• Assisting with copywriting and campaign messaging.

• Updating databases, spreadsheets, mailing lists, etc.

• Responsibility for brand assets ensuring content is up to date, accurate, and always in line with brand guidelines

• Prepare briefs and work with the Digital and Creative team to fulfill a variety of creative design and digital content requests;

• Assist with campaign plans, rollouts, and post-campaign follow-up and analysis leading to report generation, evaluation, and subsequent follow-up.

• Play an integral role in the planning, approval, and briefing process relating to all category marketing, events, influencer management, trade marketing

• Assist the coordination and smooth running of events, designed to drive and generate sales for the business, while taking responsibility for general administration and accounts.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders in the business; social team, influencer team, PR and graphics on briefing in campaign requirements and taking responsibility for seeing a campaign come to life from ideation to implementation.

• Liaise with brands external vendors on a daily basis, ensuring that information for website, social media, emails, and in-store POS is gathered in time and updated regularly.

• Assist the marketing team with a range of activities to ensure the smooth running of the department.

• On occasion, you will work with the Marketing manager on projects that fall outside of the category.

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a Marketing or business-related discipline.

• Highly organized with an ability to work on your own and as part of a cross-functional team.

• Strong communication skills both spoken and written

• Great communication and interpersonal skills (both spoken written), with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced changing environment.

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage more than one project at a time.

• Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint is required.

• Availability for full-time employment (5 days per week, at NBD Head Office, in Blarney, Cork)
