Maths Olympiad Tutor

Based in Camberwell VIC 3124, Quantum Education is a fast growing education centre dedicated to Maths and English tutoring of all year levels from Primary to VCE.

We are seeking experienced tutors who enjoy working with motivated students at various mathematic levels.

Responsibilities:

• Teach small groups of 4-8 people for two-hour sessions, in addition to some one-on-one tutoring
• Design curricular content and activities
• Record student progress and conduct assessments
• Liaise with program coordinator to develop tailored programs
• Interact positively with students to promote a fun, friendly learning environment

You will need/are:

• Passion for Maths and excellent communication skills
• experience in high level Maths competitions (AIMO, AMO, IMO)
• Scored 45 (raw score) or higher in the VCE MM or SM subject
• A tertiary qualification or current university student
• Reliability, professional personal presentation and the ability to lead classes and work unsupervised
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Prior teaching experience is preferred

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $35.00 – $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
