Mechanical Engineer

The Contracts department oversees the delivery and execution of projects from initial mobilisation through to completion and handover. Acting as the bridge between design, commercial, and on-site teams, the department ensures that all contractual obligations are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. With a focus on planning, resource coordination, and problem-solving, the Contracts team plays a key role in ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

The Mechanical Engineer for Off-Site MEP and Plantroom Assembly is responsible for overseeing the assembly and integration of mechanical systems within prefabricated MEP modules and plantrooms. This role ensures the proper installation, testing, and quality control of mechanical components, including pipework, pumps, heat exchangers, and associated equipment, in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role as a link between our design team after they have handed over the project to the contracts team closing out any queries and gathering the required information.

This role involves overseeing the assembly and quality assurance of mechanical systems within plantrooms and modular MEP assemblies. Responsibilities include ensuring the correct installation and alignment of equipment such as piping, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, project drawings, and specifications. The position provides technical guidance to the assembly team, conducts inspections and dimensional checks, and verifies that all materials and components meet required standards. It also involves witnessing and documenting pressure testing, leak detection, and other system tests, while recording inspections, snags, and corrective actions using tools such as FieldView. The role requires close collaboration with design, fabrication, and other engineering disciplines to ensure proper system integration, assist with testing and pre-commissioning activities, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the assembly process to support final commissioning and project completion.
