The Role
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor leads the mechanical maintenance team to safety execute planned and reactive works required to achieve the desired plant availability level. This role is assigned responsibility for planned and / or unplanned maintenance work execution and work quality in normal operations and within shutdown periods.
Coordinate and supervise maintenance resources to complete planned and reactive maintenance work at the required quality in compliance with the relevant standards and procedures
Actively manage the health and safety of the team, timely management of incidents and completion of actions derived from incident investigations within the agreed due date
Oversee work request scoping, work order close out, history collection, materials management and completion of inspection test plans
Develop and manage the performance of the maintenance crew members and contractors
Manage workshops, tooling, vehicles and other assets within the Mechanical Maintenance Department
Analyse and report on maintenance key performance indicators
What you’ll bring
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical or Mechanical Engineer
Crane Driver, Rigger and Scaffolder qualifications (desirable)
Strong understanding of maintenance work processes and quality processes
Experience in fault finding of equipment failures and prioritisation of reactive works
Competence in the use of SAP or similar computerised maintenance management systems
Proven Leadership experience in a Similar role

Phosphate Hill
Southern Cross Fertilizers - Phosphate Hill consists of an integrated open cut mine and processing facility, producing high quality ammonium phosphate fertilisers for domestic and export markets. The production facilities include ammonia, phosphoric acid, granulation and beneficiation plants. The plants are fitted with the latest technology and feature state of the art manufacturing processes.
The Granulation plant consists of the reactors and solids handling equipment necessary to turn gaseous ammonia and liquid phosphoric acid into high quality Granulated MAP and DAP fertiliser.
