Mining Fleet Controller

The Role & Project


MACA are seeking a Mining Fleet Controller to join the team at Gruyere on an 8/6, 7/7 roster (day and night shift), supporting site to maximise productivity and safety of the load and haul fleet.


The Gruyere Gold Project is located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia and is a joint venture between Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources.

To be successful in this role, you will:


  • Minimum 1 year experience in Fleet Control/Dispatch
  • Experience with Wenco is preferred.
  • Proficient in understanding “end to end” mining processes and equipment specifics, including single fleet types, digger operations, and tyre life management.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) for various administrative and reporting tasks.
  • Knowledgeable in Mine Strata and mining equipment applications.
  • Skilled in Environmental Management Systems, including dust monitoring, lightning tracking, and noise monitoring.
  • Familiar with digital radios, IT reporting processes, and Governance systems.
  • Experienced in handling roster management, crew sheets, overtime procedures, SMU tracker, and absenteeism book.
  • Capable of managing incident processes, including gathering and providing data, and managing fatigue systems with external reporting agencies.
  • Effective communicator using WhatsApp for maintenance, client, and supervisor notifications, and capable of taking and redirecting phone calls from operators.
