Motor Technician

Barlo Motor Group is a leading Motor Dealer Group with three dealerships located across Counties Tipperary and Kilkenny. We operate Main Dealer Franchises for Ford, Hyundai, Suzuki, Isuzu and Nissan.

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technician to join our Barlo Kilkenny dealership.

This role is ideally suited to a skilled and motivated professional who takes pride in delivering workmanship to the highest standards and who wishes to build a long-term, rewarding career within a progressive dealer group.

The Role

As a Technician, you will be responsible for diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, and supporting the technical development of the workshop team. You will work with the latest manufacturer technology across Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, ensuring vehicles are repaired right first time and to manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnosis and repairs on ICE, Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
• Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer standards
• Support and mentor apprentice and junior technicians where required
• Liaise with Service Advisors and management on technical matters
• Keep technical knowledge up to date through ongoing manufacturer training
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient working environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Full qualification as an technician or equivalent manufacturer certification
• Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Full, valid driving licence
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
• Strong interest in emerging vehicle technologies and electrification
• Professional attitude with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
