Job Overview

The Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) Technician is responsible for the efficient setup, relocation, and breakdown of event spaces, office cubicles, and other facility configurations. This role ensures seamless transitions for company events and employee workspace needs, coordinating layout changes and maintaining facility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Furniture and Equipment Handling: Safely transport and assemble/disassemble furniture, including desks, chairs, and filing cabinets, event equipment, whiteboards, surge protectors, extension cords, easels, signage, acrylic stands according to event requirements.
  • Event Setup and Breakdown: Arrange tables, chairs, AV equipment, and other materials to meet specific event layout requirements. Ensure all event spaces are clean, organized, and returned to original condition post-event.
  • Cubicle and Workspace Reconfiguration: Set up, move, or dismantle office cubicles, desks, and workstations as required. Ensure accurate placement of furniture and equipment according to floor plans and ergonomic standards.
  • Retrieve event packages and swag from the appropriate mailroom or storage room and ensure delivery to the event space prior according to event specifications.
  • Assistance with visual inspections of event spaces and report any damages or missing items to the onsite Event Coordinator.
  • Assistance with HVAC performance by alerting any issues to the Event Coordinator.
  • Report any visual tech equipment or furniture issues to the Event Coordinator.
  • Validate specialized facilities set up (air walls, courtyards, Landlord spaces, etc.) have been delivered according to event specifications, reporting to Event Coordinator in the case of misdelivery of space.
  • Coordinate delivery of trash refreshes when specified during events.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of office furniture, event equipment, and setup tools, reporting any damage or missing items.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Facilities team, Event Coordinators, and other departments to ensure timely setup and breakdown for events and office changes.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ergonomic guidelines when moving or assembling furniture and equipment to ensure a safe environment for all staff.
  • Ability to assist with tasks such as trash removal, floor care, power washing, and general cleaning support as needed.
  • Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or Advanced team.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in facilities management, event setup, or furniture installation preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment; stamina to perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends or evenings, as required by event schedules.
