About Us
Waitaha Lawn Mowing Limited is a growing lawn care and property maintenance business operating in Christchurch. As part of our recent expansion, including the acquisition of a Jim’s Mowing franchise, we are seeking a highly organised and experienced Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations and support business growth.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to manage and coordinate the administrative functions of the company. This role is critical in ensuring efficient office systems, financial processes, compliance management, and customer service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
In line with ANZSCO Office Manager requirements, duties will include:
- Organising and coordinating office operations and administrative systems
- Developing, implementing and reviewing administrative procedures and policies
- Managing office budgets, invoicing, payroll coordination and expense tracking
- Preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, and liaising with external accountants
- Managing customer enquiries, job bookings, quotations and follow-ups
- Overseeing use of the Jim’s Online System to manage franchise reporting and compliance
- Coordinating staff schedules, contractor payments and timesheets
- Maintaining company records including HR, employment agreements and health & safety documentation
- Ensuring compliance with IRD, ACC, employment legislation and franchise requirements
- Managing procurement of office supplies and service contracts
- Supporting business development initiatives and marketing administration
- Monitoring company social media and online reviews to maintain brand reputation
Skills & Experience Required
Applicants must meet ANZSCO skill level requirements:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experienceOR
- A Level 4 or higher qualification in Business Administration, Management, Accounting or a related field
Additionally, applicants should demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Experience with bookkeeping, invoicing and payroll processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based business systems
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Pay & Benefits
- $35- $40 per hour (depending on experience)
- Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week
