About the opportunity

Everclean is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join their Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the mall, including common areas, washrooms, and offices.

What you'll get to do

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping of floors, stairways, entrances, and washrooms
• Clean and disinfect offices, washrooms, benches, entrances, and other areas as required
• Empty and clean garbage cans, and compact garbage and cardboard at compactors throughout the day
• Respond to customer and staff concerns regarding supply replacement or cleanliness of the facilities
• Maintain inventory lists of cleaning supplies and submit them to the Property Manager on a monthly basis
• Dusting, Disinfecting and Sanitizing
• Other duties as required by the Site Manager/Site Lead.

Skills and Experience

• Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment and supplies
• Ability to physically perform the duties of the position, including standing and walking for prolonged periods
• Ability to attend work on a regular, on-going, consistent basis
• Ability to understand and implement all policies and procedures as they relate to the janitorial work to be performed
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English
• Must be able to perform all cleaning tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting of washrooms and offices
• Must be able to work in a team environment and respond to requests from the Property Manager, Lead Hand, Supervisor, or Manager
• Knowledge of WHMIS policies and procedures is an asset
