About the role

Based in Christchurch, Operations Support is a vital role reporting into the Area Manager, responsible for managing the wellbeing of the concrete truck fleet, including mechanical help and troubleshooting, working with our drivers and other staff to ensure our trucks can continue to load and deliver cement to our customers safely and efficiently.

As an important member of the team, key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for truck drivers with mechanical or logistical issues to ensure timely deliveries
  • Championing preventative maintenance across a fleet of 30 trucks
  • Overseeing health, safety, and environmental practices.

About you

  • Experience coordinating the maintenance and wellbeing of a large fleet of trucks or heavy vehicles
  • Experience in identifying and solving mechanical problems in heavy vehicles (hands-on mechanical trade experience is highly desirable)
  • Exposure to concrete & batching would be an added bonus
  • Have excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Be confident operating a computer with experience in MS Office or Google docs, full training will be provided on additional software used in the role
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, health & environmental responsibilities
  • Forklift license is an advantage.
