Painter/General Labourer

Stuart and Hill Construction, is a general contracting company offering construction services for the residential and commercial markets. We service the Simcoe/Muskoka region. We are looking for Skilled Construction Labourers with experieince Painting to join our growing team! Worksites are across Simcoe. We offer competitive compensation based on previous applicable experience.

CONSTRUCTION LABOURER

We are looking for an experienced candidate who has demonstrated residential / commercial renovation and demolition skills, Painting expertise, initiative and drive, is a team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.

RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
• Assist with tasks, including but not limited to construction, maintenance or repair work.
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of job sites to ensure a safe and organized working environment, including general maintenance and cleaning of work areas.
• Perform manual labor tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks accurately.
• Operate basic hand tools, power tools and machinery as needed.
• Support team members in various construction activities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

• Valid drivers licence.
• Have working phone with data, for sign in availability/notes for jobs.
• PPE - CSA approved footwear, safety glasses, etc.
• Previous experience in labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Positive attitude, reliability and solid work ethic.
• Proper behavior and respect for clients and company.
• Represent the company on site in a presentable and professional manner.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of safety procedures in a labor environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per year
