Job Summary
The Estate Planning Paralegal supports the firm's wealth advisory teams by analyzing and summarizing clients' estate planning documents to ensure alignment with their overall financial strategy. This role conducts research on estate, gift, and tax matters, coordinates internal workflow through the Help Desk system, and partners with the Senior Paralegal to deliver timely, high-quality support to advisors and clients.
Essential Responsibilities
- Analyze and summarize estate planning documents, from basic wills to complex trust structures
- Manage Help Desk request workflow, including assignment, deadline tracking, and data capture to optimize team productivity
- Conduct research on estate, gift, and inheritance tax matters, property laws, and asset protection strategies
- Provide support to the Senior Paralegal on projects and tasks as needed
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years relevant work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
