Paralegal - Accident Benefits/Tort

Looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious Paralegal to join our busy Personal Injury firm. ICS Legal Services is a prominent Brampton plaintiff personal Injury firm with over 28 years of legal experience.

We are looking for an energetic individual to support our Accident Benefits/Tort team. The ideal incumbent must work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, and must take pride in exceeding expectations. This position is full-time and in person.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drafting correspondence to be sent to Insurance Companies, medical facilities and clients
• Drafting LAT Applications, drafting Case Conference Summaries
• Direct communication with clients, insurance adjusters and clinics
• Overall daily file maintenance
• Complete OCF forms in accordance with the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS)
• Other duties assigned

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of accident benefits knowledge
• Completion of Legal Assistant program or equivalent
• Attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong verbal and writing skills
• Highly organized
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Show discretion with sensitive and confidential information
• Tort/small claims is an asset

Education and Qualifications

• Post-secondary education.
• Completion of a Law Clerk or Paralegal Program
• Computer literate, with strong skills in the use of MS Office, e-mail and internet.
