Part Time Baker & Kitchen Assitant

Job Summary

We are looking to fill two positions. One with experience in baking and kitchen prep, the other is entry level support, more like a KP.

We are seeking a passionate kitchen assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and food preparation, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality goods that meet our standards of excellence while ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are followed.

This role requires a blend of culinary skills, customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Kitchen staff are included in part of the tip pool, adding ~10% extra on top of hourly wage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
• Prepare Sandwiches & other cafe items.
• Ensuring quality and freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area according to food safety standards.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely production of baked items for service.
• Efficient time management is a must.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Baker is preferred but training will be provided to the right candidate.
• Some barista experience would be desirable.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Strong background in food preparation within a restaurant or bakery setting is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A passion for baking and creating delicious products that delight customers.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
