Duties

• Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper food safety sanitizing procedures
• Assist with bussing tables and clearing plates to support smooth dining flow
• Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and bulk supplies safely and correctly
• Support food preparation tasks by cleaning workstations and ensuring a hygienic environment
• Follow food safety management protocols to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen
• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including trash disposal and equipment maintenance
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods such as banquets or catering events

Experience

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with food handling procedures are advantageous
• Experience in food safety sanitizing procedures and cleaning practices in a commercial setting
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety management principles and proper dishwashing techniques is a plus
• Prior banquet or catering experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
• Strong understanding of general food service operations, including cleaning, food handling, and basic kitchen activities
