Part Time Early Years Practitioner

Due to our success and growth since we opened last year, Safari Childcare Bray are looking to recruit energetic, creative and passionate Early Childcare Practitioners to join our team in our new purpose built centre.

We work closely with parents and professionals in order to provide a warm and welcoming learning environment for all children in our care. Our curriculum is tailored to encourage children’s growth through learning, play, socialisation and independence.

We are currently recruiting for 2 positions for up to 20-25 hours a week.

Job Description:

• Create a positive and safe learning environment for each child
• Care for and encourage learning growth, depending on each individual child
• Supervise free and child led play
• Conduct and follow a weekly/monthly plan
• Observe, monitor and record the development of the children in compliance with the Childcare (Pre-School Services) Regulations 2016 and be familiar with the Regulations.
• To have a great rapport with adults and children alike.
• To be enthusiastic with a ‘can-do’ attitude and have a good sense of team spirit.
• Follow a daily routine
• Communicate positively with children, staff and parents on daily basis
• Follow Safari’s Policies and Procedures
• Send daily reports and photos to parents

Requirements:

• Minimal FETAC Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent
• Manual Handling (provided if needed)
• First Aid (provided if needed)
• Child Protection (provided if needed)
• Experience in an Early Years setting
• Basic computer skills
• Enthusiastic and positive personality
• Find solutions in stressful situations
• Good organisational skills
• Team player
• Works on own initiative
• Punctuality

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €15.00-€16.50 per hour

• Bray, County Wicklow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

• Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 (required)
