Part-Time Odoo Specialist Remote | Part-Time | Ongoing Support Role

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Specialist to provide part-time support for an existing Odoo v17 enterprise environment.

This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience supporting, troubleshooting, and customising Odoo systems, including environments with existing customisations. The successful candidate will assist with backend maintenance, technical support, imports/exports, configuration, and light customisation work as needed.

Role Overview

The client is currently using Odoo v17 with previous customisations already implemented. They require ongoing technical support to manage day-to-day system needs, resolve issues related to customisations, assist with data imports/exports, and provide guidance on possible workarounds or future improvements.

This is a part-time remote role requiring a minimum commitment of 60 hours per month, with possible additional hours depending on support requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing technical support for an existing Odoo v17 enterprise system
  • Assist with backend maintenance and management, including Odoo.sh and staging environment
  • Troubleshoot issues related to previous Odoo customisations
  • Support admin and technical tasks such as staging access/password resets, user/email setup, licence-related setup, and Outlook email connection to Odoo
  • Assist with bulk importing/exporting of stock takes, price lists, and configuration data
  • Provide advice on workaround solutions within the existing Odoo framework
  • Identify when customisation is required and help scope the required changes
  • Implement minor code/customisation changes when needed
  • Support possible migration of current customisations to a newer Odoo version
  • Provide guidance or training on Odoo modules relevant to the business
  • Document fixes, recommendations, and changes clearly for future reference

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience supporting and customising Odoo, preferably Odoo v16 or v17
  • Experience with Odoo.sh and staging environments
  • Strong understanding of Odoo modules, configuration, users, access rights, and workflows
  • Experience troubleshooting existing customisations
  • Ability to perform light Odoo development/customisation
  • Knowledge of Python, XML/QWeb, PostgreSQL, and Odoo module structure
  • Experience with data import/export and configuration management in Odoo
  • Ability to provide practical advice on workarounds versus custom development
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to explain technical issues clearly

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Odoo Enterprise
  • Experience migrating customisations between Odoo versions
  • Experience with Outlook/Microsoft 365 integration with Odoo
  • Experience supporting inventory, sales, CRM, accounting, purchasing, or website modules
  • Experience taking over support from a previous Odoo provider
