Part Time Payroll Specialist

Description


Dains Ireland are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll Department on a part time basis. This is a hands-on role in a payroll bureau environment, ideal for someone who enjoys varied client work, accuracy and meeting deadlines. There is flexibility around hours and working pattern so this is the ideal role for someone who is interested in expanding their career with flexibility.

You’ll work closely with our experienced Payroll Team providing high-quality payroll support to a portfolio of clients.


Key Responsibilities


  • End-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly client payrolls
  • Managing payroll inputs including BIK, pension contributions, share awards (where applicable) and other voluntary/statutory deductions
  • Processing starters, leavers and relevant documentation
  • Operating PAYE Modernisation processes, including Revenue payroll submissions and related compliance
  • Producing and issuing payslips and payroll reports
  • Preparing net pay payment files and supporting payroll funding/payment processes (as required)
  • Payroll reconciliations and variance/comparison checks
  • Responding to payroll queries and liaising with clients in a timely, professional manner
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and accurate record keeping



Experience & Qualifications Needed:


1+ year experience in Irish payroll processing (bureau experience an advantage)
Working knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and practices (PAYE/USC/PRSI; statutory payments)
Payroll qualification from IPASS or equivalent preferred
Payroll software experience (e.g., Sage Micropay, BrightPay, Thesaurus or similar)
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and integrity/confidentiality
Excellent organisation and communication skills with a client-service mindset
Comfortable working independently, prioritising workload, and meeting deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
