Part-Time Remote Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer to join our team on a part-time, remote basis, with flexible hours. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about helping clients maintain accurate financial records and achieve compliance through effective tax preparation.

Responsibilities:

● Maintain accurate and organized financial records for multiple clients

● Record and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop

● Process payroll and handle related filings as needed

● Prepare individual and small business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065)

● Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness

● Communicate professionally with clients regarding bookkeeping and tax matters

● Handle sensitive client data with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion

● Assist with year-end adjustments and financial reporting

● Stay current with tax laws and accounting standards

Qualifications:

● 2+ years of bookkeeping and/or tax preparation experience

● Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace

● Understanding of GAAP and U.S. tax regulations

● Excellent organizational and communication skills

● Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple clients

Preferred Experience:

● Experience working with small businesses and nonprofit organizations

● Knowledge of accounting software integrations and apps (e.g., Dext, Gusto, or Bill.com)
