Part-Time Special Needs Nanny & Family Assistant

Our family is looking for a reliable, calm & experienced Part-time Special Needs Nanny & Family Assistant to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone with experience as a RBT/Developmental Interventionist looking to transition to private childcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently & safely drive our 4-year old to therapy sessions and activities.
• Assist therapists/providers & our child during sessions (ex: support transitions, safety, clean-up, & routines)
• Help our child stay regulated by engaging our child in sensory play; recognizing and proactively managing sensory triggers; and using calming strategies (quiet time, deep-pressure play, movement breaks, etc.) to help prevent sensory overload.
• Complete light child-related chores (folding child’s laundry, toy pick-up, etc.) & quick errands (ex: package drop off/pick-up) when our child is busy or with a parent
• Plan/engage our 4-year-old in play-based learning activities that support their growth (ex: therapy homework, short crafts, etc.)
• Manage full care for 3-4 hours during date nights or an extended meeting

Schedule:2-4 days, M-F, 9-4p. Additional hours available depending on your availability for longer shifts, date nights, & weekend care.

Pay rate: $32-37/hr (DOE) by payroll twice per month + mileage reimbursement

Our ideal candidate has:

• A college degree, preferably in education or a related field
• Paid experience teaching autistic children (ex: special education, preschool teacher, BT, RBT)
• Ability to participate in long walks and movement-based play
• High attention to detail
• A reliable vehicle with a CA driver's license; CA car insurance
• Active CPR certification

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.00 - $37.00 per hour
