Job Summary:

BCD Engineering Ltd. is looking for Passivation Operator who will work within our onsite Passivation teams. Passivation Operator work under a passivation supervisor in a team of 3-5 people and carry out passivation of stainless steel systems in the pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries throughout Ireland.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities.

  • Work within a passivation team of 3-5 Operators and a passivation supervisor.
  • Set up projects on site, move skids and pumps into place on site, connecting up systems with hoses.
  • Pressure testing systems prior to passivation and monitoring of systems during the passivation process.
  • Adding chemicals to systems to carry out passivation.
  • Comply with all EHS requirements are complied with on site.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting of problems and issues as they arise on site.
  • Using instruments to take required measurements on site, pH, conductivity, temperature, pressure etc.
  • Complete all identified training and development activities as required.
  • Carry out additional duties that may be assigned to you.

Education & Experience:

  • Experience working in live pharmaceutical plants. Clients systems and plants must be respected in what is a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with stainless steel systems, valves, fittings, pipework etc.
  • Experience working with chemicals would be beneficial but not a necessity, all required training will be provided.
  • Applicants must be willing to travel extensively within Ireland. A substantial amount of our projects will involve significant travel and staying away from home for the duration of projects.
  • Self-starter / Use of own initiative.
  • High energy level and motivation.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience with GDP, completing test packs etc. would be beneficial
  • An excellent standard of attendance and timekeeping.
