Payments Functional Test Analyst

What is the opportunity

As Payments Functional Test Analyst, you will work as part of an automated/manual test team to deliver projects within the Payments program. You will strive to deliver to the banks testing standards while becoming an expert in your field. You will work with senior project stakeholders to agree scope, complete testing and deliver high quality products.

In this role you will:

• Analysis of the Project Requirements for static data testing.
• Analysis of high level / low level design documents to create technical test cases
• Creation of functional Test Scenarios/Test Cases and identify the supporting test data.
• Presenting walkthrough sessions to key stakeholders
• Ensuring that all test queries are closed & defects are resolved with support from Test Lead.
• Confirming Test Coverage per assigned work.
• Ensuring own test execution goals are met & communicating blocking issues to test lead.
• Identify associated regression to ensure thorough retesting of defects.

Previous test analyst experience in a hands-on ST / SIT role is a must.

Skilled in Jira/Zephyr for Test and Defect Management (test scenarios/cases, defects, reporting) and other tools such as confluence.

Foundation ISTQB

Experience in backend - SQLServer, Oracle database, IBM MQ

XML/XSD Knowledge

E2E, multi-tiered, multi-application environment Experience

SEPA / Payments Experience an advantage

GPP Experience an advantage

The Payments Area is responsible for the delivery of key regulatory and technical programs each year for SEPA Direct Debits, Credit Transfers and Instant Payments. Deliveries range from compliance projects to currency upgrades to EBA mandated changes, it is a fast paced and rewarding environment.

This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required 1 day per week to the office or for in person collaboration.
