Payroll Assistant - Limerick
About the Company
Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering services contractor who specialize in growth sectors such as pharmaceuticals, data centres, and power transmission.
Role Purpose
They are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their established payroll team in Limerick. This role will support the administration of our Time Management System (TMS) and assist with the weekly payroll processing for over 1,000 employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Collate and process weekly payroll, taxes, company payments, deductions, and employee benefits for 1,000+ employees.
- Report to the Finance Department and Payroll Manager.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and within deadlines.
- Work closely with the HR department to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
- Process monthly payroll changes and updates, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefit programmes from a payroll perspective.
- Review time management system records for accuracy and liaise with Departmental Managers to confirm approvals.
- Work with Time Management Systems and payroll software to transfer data and ensure correct wages are allocated.
- Create biometric profiles for new employees and assist with site setups.
- Address payroll queries and provide support as needed.
- Assist with ad-hoc payroll duties and occasional site visits.
Necessary Requirements
- A diploma in payroll or previous payroll experience.
- Familiarity with using TMS systems for payroll processing.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with IT systems related to time management and payroll software.
- High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with a self-motivated, proactive approach to tasks.
