Payroll Officer

• Assistance for the full end-to-end payroll process in Australia, constituting approx. 800 Permanent employees and 200 casual employees
• Provide adequate backup to allow for absences of Payroll Manager, both planned and unforeseen
• Assistance with Payroll related general ledger activities, running financial reports, and assisting with month end processes
• Experience with Novated leases and assisting in the reconciliation monthly
• Knowledge and input for payroll related balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience in implementing salary sacrifice arrangements
• Assistance to prepare and lodge statutory returns, and ABS requirements
• Implementing best practice and standardisation of process and procedures
• Interaction with the business in aspects related to Payroll matters
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Arcadis
• Ensuring you are familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.

• Extensive previous working knowledge of Sage MicroPay
• Demonstrated past experience in a similar Australian payroll position, preferably in a professional services environment
• Current knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to payroll e.g. Single touch payroll
• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
• Good communication skills
