Personal Care Attendant
Schedule: M-F 8:30-5 (times could vary) and every other weekend once trained.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent/- Preferred Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) or previous experience- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required (will certify on site)
- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in working with the frail or elderly population required
- Skills and Knowledge: Basic knowledge in working with frail and elderly to support Activities of Daily Living (ADL)- Ability to work effectively with culturally, economically, and educationally, diverse populations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists participants and or supervises with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and foot nail care and toileting) as assigned or needed.
- Creates and participates in group(s) and one-on-one activities in accordance with daily activity calendar and as requested by the Director of Activities.
- Monitors and assists participants with meals at dining table preparing meals.
- Assists, throughout the day, in maintaining clean and orderly day rooms, kitchen and personal care areas.
- Accompanies enrollee, who do not require hands on assistance, to medical and other appointments. Performs and or assists with laundry, including clothes for participants.
- Notes changes in participant’s physical or emotional health and communicates this information to the appropriate staff person.
Pay will be discussed based upon experience and qualifications.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
