The Role
We're looking for a People & Culture Advisor (12-month parental leave cover) to provide generalist HR support and advice to NGS employees across the entire employee lifecycle.
This role supports the People Partnering Manager across a range of functions including reporting & analytics, system & process optimisation, employee relations, engagement initiatives and cyclical HR activities.
What you'll do:
Prepare key people metrics through regular reporting to provide insights that drive retention and improve culture
Identify and implement opportunities for system optimisation and process improvement, particularly across the HR Management System, ELMO
Support the People Partnering Manager in driving core cyclical HR activities including the annual performance cycle, remuneration review, salary surveys and WGEA reporting
Provide first-level advice on all HR related queries including employee relations matters, policy interpretation and award guidance
Support the People Partnering Manager with the implementation of a number of projects & initiatives including engagement, structural or workplace change, communication planning, and internal training
About you
You're a seasoned HR Coordinator looking for that next step, or an HR Advisor looking to develop their skills in people analytics, system optimisation and core HR activities. You'll bring the following skills:
At least 3 years’ experience in a HR administration or advisory role delivering HR advice
Tertiary qualifications in HR
Microsoft Excel proficiency including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
Knowledge of relevant employment legislation
Experience interpreting modern awards and HR policies
Experience using HR management systems
The following skills are nice to have but not essential:
Experience using ELMO, HR management system
