Your Role

We are looking for a People Operations Coordinator that can play a pivotal role in the operational planning and success of the organization. You will help us bring the People Operations services to the next level by supporting our engineering teams in Germany and France. The individual will be based in Paris with regular travel to Lindau. This is an ideal role for someone who is excited about owning a wide scope of the People Operations function while also supporting the shaping and scaling of our people programs infrastructure for rapid growth. You should have excellent communication skills and understanding of people and business operational related processes. As part of a small company, you will have a high degree of independence and will be expected to make sound decisions and deliver excellent results.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for the European teams: provide consistent support to all team members by answering questions about people initiatives, policies, benefits and any other people, office or internal business related items
  • Organize and execute company culture and team building initiatives (like monthly birthday celebrations, anniversaries, team events, etc.)
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle administration process, including onboarding/offboarding, benefits enrollment, leave of absences, and payroll
  • Manage procurement for Germany and France including processing of financial transactions like invoices and credit card payments for accounting purposes and resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Create a positive image of the company using friendly and efficient service
  • Handle diverse administrative tasks like scheduling travel arrangements, expense reimbursements, recruiting, etc.
  • Play a critical role by effectively establishing and nurturing relationships across the organization as well as measuring and monitoring initiatives to determine effectiveness
  • Maintain office operations, leases and build vendor relationships in both locations. You will research the right tools, advocate for company needs, and sync systems to work better together

What We Look For

  • 2-3 years work experience in Customer Service, Office Management, or Business Operations preferably in a startup environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is a must; being bilingual in German and French is a big plus
  • Ability to work responsibly with sensitive and confidential information
  • Must be a self-starter who is well organized, can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and has excellent problem-solving skills since the rest of the People Operations team is based in California
  • Comfortable switching between working collaboratively as part of a team and working autonomously as needed
  • Due to the time difference to the People Operations team in California some meetings will take place in the evening hours

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to make an impact at a young, venture-backed company in an emerging market
  • Competitive salary depending on experience
  • Performance Based Bonus and Equity
  • Lunch allowance, Carte Navigo and free snacks in the office

Zendar is committed to creating a diverse environment where talented people come to do their best work. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
