Position Overview:
As a Perception Engineering Intern (Radar) at Venti Technologies, you will support our autonomy team in improving radar sensing capabilities for our autonomous trucking platforms. You will contribute to radar driver integration in ROS, work on radar calibration tooling, enhance radar signal quality by reducing detection noise, and help implement object tracking algorithms for robust perception.
Role Responsibilities
Develop and maintain radar ROS drivers, including ego motion compensation if required.
Develop tools to perform radar and lidar calibration to ensure accurate sensor alignment.
Implement techniques to reduce radar detection noise and improve data quality.
Support the design and integration of object tracking methods using radar detections.
Qualifications & Skills:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in programming with C++ and Python, particularly in a Linux environment.
Familiar with ROS/ROS2 and common perception libraries (e.g., PCL, OpenCV).
Good understanding of radar and lidar sensor principles, sensor calibration techniques, and signal processing.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication and a willingness to learn in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
