Plant Fitter Mechanic

Senior Plant Fitter / Mechanic for Finna Construction

We are a well-established medium-sized construction company operating our own fleet of plant machinery, construction equipment, and company vans. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a highly experienced Plant Fitter to take responsibility for maintaining and managing our fleet to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Service and maintain excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, rollers, and other heavy plant
• Maintain and repair company vans and light commercial vehicles
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules
• Respond efficiently to on-site breakdowns
• Ensure machinery meets safety and compliance standards
• Maintain accurate service and inspection records

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience working with heavy plant machinery
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Proven experience working independently in a construction environment
• Full clean Category B driving licence
• Safe Pass required
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and plant electrics

Desirable

• Experience managing fleet maintenance schedules
• Category C licence
