Position Summary:
The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of food and beverage areas, back-of-house spaces, and public service locations throughout the venue. This position supports daily operations by ensuring concessions, bars, restaurants, kitchens, catering areas, and guest spaces are clean, stocked, and event-ready. The Porter plays an essential role in delivering a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

The hospitality operation features a diverse portfolio of dining experiences, including a multi-concept café, a modern luxury restaurant, a licensed Starbucks location, and a robust special events catering program. The team is dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences through outstanding food, service, and hospitality within one of the nation's premier cultural destinations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of concessions, bars, restaurants, kitchens, catering areas, storage rooms, and back-of-house spaces.
- Clean and sanitize floors, counters, tables, workstations, equipment, and service areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and pressure wash designated areas as needed.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and employee workspaces as assigned.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in accordance with company standards and health regulations.
- Prepare food and beverage locations before events by stocking supplies and ensuring work areas are organized.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies.
- Support concessions, catering, and restaurant operations by replenishing ice, paper products, condiments, and other operational supplies.
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and guest service needs during events.
- Collect, transport, and properly dispose of trash, recycling, and food waste.
- Replace trash liners and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
- Operate trash compactors and recycling equipment safely, where applicable.
- Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and operational materials throughout the venue.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and transporting supplies to designated storage areas.
- Notify supervisors of maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or supply shortages.
- Maintain organized storage rooms and ensure supplies are properly stored.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety policies.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial, porter, janitorial, or facilities experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in hospitality, sports and entertainment, performing arts, convention centers, or food and beverage operations is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent internal and guest support.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, as applicable.
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and tools.
