Position Overview

Renovia is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead and elevate our estimating and preconstruction efforts in the Southeast region. This is a player-coach role requiring both hands-on estimating expertise and leadership capability. You will partner closely with Sales and Operations to develop accurate, competitive bids and present comprehensive proposals for complex commercial projects.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, confident in client-facing presentations, and experienced in commercial restoration, coatings, or waterproofing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, dissect, and manage bid packages, drawings, and project manuals
• Develop detailed takeoffs, cost estimates, schedules, milestones, and schedules of values (SOVs)
• Partner with Sales and Account Executives on pre-bid strategy, site walks, and client presentations
• Lead proposal development and present bids to clients, engineers, and boards of directors
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
• Attend pre-bid meetings, job walks, and regional industry events
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure seamless handoff from preconstruction to production
• Create RFIs, clarify scope, and establish clear expectations with clients
• Support onboarding, mentoring, and development of Estimators within the branch
• Participate in post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future bids
• Support go-to-market pricing strategies across multiple branches when needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in commercial estimating, preferably in restoration, coatings, or waterproofing
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Proficiency with estimating and project software (Bluebeam, Procore, or similar)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working collaboratively with Sales and Operations teams
• Salesforce experience is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Willingness to travel 25–50%, including overnight travel

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $90,000–$100,000 (flexible based on experience)
• Bonus: Up to 10% based on win rate
